Fair Opportunity Policy

StormProofCheck is designed to provide participating local contractors with a fair opportunity while preserving homeowner choice.

Equal presentation

Public contractor profiles use a common layout. StormProofCheck does not publish star ratings, rank companies, sell preferred placement, or label one participating contractor as “best.”

Neutral internal process

Eligible contractors may be determined by service area, approved status, trade, availability, account standing, verification status, homeowner preferences, capacity, and platform integrity. The internal method is not presented as a public ranking and may be adjusted to prevent manipulation, abuse, or repeated nonresponse.

Homeowner control

The homeowner may choose up to three contractors and may research any company independently. A contractor receives the homeowner’s personal details only when authorized.

No entitlement

Participation does not create a right to a particular request, order, frequency, territory, or revenue. StormProofCheck may pause contractors with expired credentials, unpaid balances, repeated nonresponse, substantiated complaints, safety concerns, or policy violations.
