Trust Center
StormProofCheck helps homeowners organize storm-related property information and decide which participating local contractors may receive a request.
Contractors are not ranked
Profiles are displayed in a common format without public ratings or paid preferred placement. Homeowners make their own decisions.
Verification has limits
A verification status means specified information was reviewed at a particular time. It is not a warranty of performance, financial condition, character, future license status, insurance coverage, or workmanship.
Privacy by choice
Homeowner information is intended to be shared only with contractors the homeowner authorizes. Contractors agree to use that information only for the request.
Homeowner request verification
Email is recommended but not required. A legitimate homeowner may continue with a phone number, property address, authorization confirmation, and at least one current property photo. StormProofCheck may hold duplicate or suspicious submissions for manual review before any contractor receives them.
Owner oversight
StormProofCheck may review contractor applications, credentials, complaints, fraud signals, response behavior, and account standing without publishing comparative rankings.
Research independently
Before signing, homeowners should verify current licensing and insurance, obtain written estimates, review contract terms, check references, and understand cancellation, financing, and insurance provisions.
