Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of StormProofCheck. By using the service, creating an account, submitting information, or accepting a homeowner request, you agree to these Terms.
Platform role
StormProofCheck is an independent technology, documentation, and connection platform. It is not a roofing or other trade contractor, public adjuster, engineer, architect, home inspector, insurer, insurance agent, emergency service, employer, partner, or agent of any participating contractor.
No endorsement or guarantee
StormProofCheck does not rank, recommend, warrant, or endorse participating contractors. Verification indicators reflect only information reviewed at a point in time and are not guarantees. Users must independently evaluate licensing, insurance, references, contracts, pricing, and suitability.
User responsibilities
Users must provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, protect account credentials, respect privacy, and avoid unsafe inspections. No user may impersonate another person, submit fraudulent requests, scrape data, interfere with the service, or misuse homeowner information.
Contractor relationships
Any estimate, inspection, contract, payment, repair, warranty, dispute, injury, property damage, employment matter, tax, or regulatory duty involving a contractor is solely between the homeowner and that contractor.
Availability and changes
The service may be changed, suspended, limited, or discontinued. StormProofCheck does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a minimum number of requests, appointments, sales, revenue, or a specific position or presentation.
Content permission
Users retain ownership of submitted content but grant StormProofCheck a limited license to store, process, reproduce, create reports from, and transmit it as needed to operate the service and as authorized by the user.
Disclaimers and limitation
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, StormProofCheck disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Any aggregate liability will not exceed the amount the claimant paid StormProofCheck during the prior twelve months, or $100 if no amount was paid, except where the law does not permit that limitation.
Indemnification
Users agree to defend and indemnify StormProofCheck and its owner, personnel, and service providers from claims arising from their content, conduct, legal violations, contractor services, or breach of these Terms.
Florida law and disputes
Florida law governs, without regard to conflict rules. Before filing a claim, the parties will attempt good-faith informal resolution. Venue will lie in the Florida county where StormProofCheck maintains its principal office, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Electronic consent
Checkboxes, electronic signatures, account actions, and digital records may evidence consent. StormProofCheck may update these Terms prospectively and will post a revised effective date.
