Property documentation must never place a person in danger.

Never climb

Stay on the ground. Do not climb onto a roof, use a ladder, walk through standing water, enter a damaged structure, or touch debris that may be energized, sharp, unstable, contaminated, or structurally unsafe.

Wait until conditions are safe

Do not document during lightning, high winds, flooding, fire, or an active storm. Use zoom from a safe location when possible.

Emergencies

For immediate threats to life, fire, gas, electrical hazards, collapse, or severe flooding, contact the appropriate emergency service or utility. StormProofCheck is not an emergency response service.

Photos are limited

Ground-level photos are useful documentation but do not replace a qualified on-site evaluation and may not reveal hidden conditions.
